An in-home security system alerted a resident to a burglary at his Clairemont house shortly before midnight Monday allowing police to get there before the suspects could escape.
The homeowner called 911 after the security system detected three people in his home about 11:55 p.m., police said. The house on Genesee Avenue near Conrad Avenue was being fumigated at the time.
Officers arrived soon after and spotted three teens running from the tented residence, police said. The males, ages 17, 17 and 15, were taken into custody soon after.
Police didn’t say if anything was taken from the home.
