Muslim body condemns 'senseless and evil attack' at Finsbury Park



The attack on worshippers near Finsbury Park mosque has been condemned as a “senseless and evil” attack.

Witnesses described seeing police giving emergency medical treatment to victims after the incident at 12.20am on Monday in Seven Sisters Road, Finsbury Park.

Many of the victims are believed to have just finished worshipping at the Finsbury Park mosque after breaking the Ramadan fast.

Mohammed Shafiq of the Ramadhan Foundation, a Muslim organisation which speaks out against extremism, said: “I utterly condemn the senseless and evil van attack against Muslim worshippers outside the Finsbury Park Mosque in London.
