Giants downgrade Janoris Jenkins to questionable for Lions

The Giants on Sunday downgraded top corner Janoris Jenkins (ankle/hand) to questionable for Monday night’s game against the Detroit Lions.

Jenkins still should be expected to play, as is questionable middle linebacker B.J. Goodson (lower leg). But the late change to Jenkins’ status – after being limited in Saturday’s walk-through – is worrisome as the Giants try and rebound from their 0-1 start after a 19-3 Week 1 loss in Dallas.

Odell Beckham Jr. (sprained left ankle) appears likely to miss his second straight game to start the season, though he probably will be a game-decision again. And linebacker Keenan Robinson (concussion) remains out, as well.

Janoris Jenkins, seen here defending Dez Bryant last week, should still be able to play Monday night.

Backup offensive guard D.J. Fluker (shin) is questionable also, increasingly the likelihood he will be inactive a second straight week.
