Did you catch Jim Broadbent's Harry Potter in-joke in the Game of Thrones season 7 premiere?



The fantasy worlds of Harry Potter and Game of Thrones have a similar appreciation for medieval architecture, dragons and cauldrons, but they are nonetheless very separate entities. One teaches the importance of good triumphing over evil in the face of adversity, the other suggests that even the most moral human beings can succumb to a miserable death (Hodor) while the abhorrent survive (hello, Cersei Lannister). 

But for a brief moment fans of both were treated to the two colliding during the Game of Thrones season 7 premiere.
