Carrie Underwood is on a long road to recovery following her nasty fall.
The 34-year-old country singer gave fans an update on Twitter Wednesday, announcing she had to undergo surgery.
“I just wanted let everyone know that I’m doing great. Had surgery on my wrist yesterday & all went well…even though I’ll be setting off airport metal detectors from now on,” she tweeted. “I’m so thankful for the doctors, nurses, family & friends who’ve been taking such great care of me.”
Underwood fell on steps outside her home last Friday and was treated and released from a hospital for a broken wrist, cuts and abrasions. Her husband, retired NHL hockey star Mike Fisher, traveled to Nashville to be with her.
