BART train derailment stops service on Peninsula

DALY CITY — A BART train derailed near the Daly City station on Saturday, causing no injuries but stopping service between Balboa Park and Colma.

BART tweeted that everyone safely exited the train after two cars on a nine-car train derailed sometime before 4 p.m.

BART is receiving help from Caltrain, Muni and Samstrans to bridge riders between the stations.

BART advises that riders board Samtrans bus ECR or 121 for service between Colma and Daly City, and MUNI bus 14 for service between Daly City and Balboa Park.
