Police responded to reports of an active shooter at a library in Clovis, New Mexico on Monday afternoon, according to the Associated Press.
State police could not confirm any fatalities or injuries to the AP, and a spokesperson for the Clovis Police Department did not immediately respond to TIME’s request for comment.
But Capt. Roman Romero told the Eastern New Mexico News that multiple people had been injured in the incident at the Clovis-Carver Public Library. ABC News also reported that six people were injured in the shooting, citing Clovis interim City Manager Tom Phelps.
